🚨 Testnet 12.0 is out, coming with major improvements! Today, we released Aleph Node 12.0 on the Testnet. Testnet validators can already upgrade their nodes. Here are the key improvements. 👉 Simplified staking Separate controller accounts can no longer be assigned when staking. New users who decide to stake their AZERO will only be able to use one account. In the next release, we will introduce proxy accounts that will allow to perform all staking-related actions while having the stash offline. Note: No actions are needed from the users at this point. The release happened only on the Testnet so far and controller accounts can still be used if they have been set up prior to this update. 👉 Improved performance The contracts pallet and the internal block sync request mechanism have been improved. Once deployed on the Mainnet, the change will simplify the staking process and will become the default method recommended by the core team.
